Inclusive Education

 
Special needs learner are found in every classroom today. Although Inclusion may be difficult to do, if done properly,  it can be very beneficial for the child. Its important to keep in mind the following when dealing with special needs learners.  

• It important to fully understand the child’s individual needs.
•    Before working with the child assess the student’s capabilities.
•     Make changes to course work, to ensure student success.
•     Ensure that attainable and realistic goals are set for the child.
•     Challenge the student.
•     Always encourage the student to do his/her best.
•     Establish a circle of friends - peer support network.
•     Allow the student to learn at his/her own pace.
•     Continue to attend workshops/ seminars in order to discouver new strategies to help the child succeed.
